Swimmin' in Savannah

We went to Savannah for a few days to celebrate mommy's birthday. We had a lot of fun at the pool and Hailey went swimming for the first time. She loved the water, she would kick her legs and move her arms like she actually new how to swim. Every time she saw the water she would get excited because she wanted to go back in.
We took her to the market and river street and around some of the squares. She really liked the fountains and even threw a penny in one of them. The only thing she didn't like doing in Savannah was sleeping, there was way too much going on and she didn't want to miss anything.

Up Up and Away

Two weeks ago we took Hailey to the Zoo for her friend Max's third birthday. She loved seeing all of the animals. Her favorites were the Lions, Polar Bear and the Elephants. We had a good time with all of our friends. This is a picture of her and her friend Phoebe in their matching outfits.



The next day mommy and daddy went out to buy some stuff to baby proof the house. Now that Hailey is crawling around we wanted to get some gates so she can't fall down the stairs. Well Grandpa came over and helped put up the gate. As soon as they were putting in the last screw Hailey decided to climb the stairs. So now she is crawling everywhere, climbing stairs, pulling up on everything and walking while holding on to things. She is really growing up fast.

I Love My Mom

On Saturday we went and saw Daddy run another Triathalon sprint and cheered him on. I am so proud of him and he did a really good job. Then I spent the night with my granparents while mom and dad went to the movies. On Sunday I celebrated Mothers day with my mom. We went to church and then back home to take a nap. I hung out with my Uncle Jason and Auntie Ali for a while then hung out with all my grandparents and my mom and dad and I played and danced and helped them play cards. Then we all went out to eat and had a great time. I was extra good for mom on Mohters day.

Party Girl

Well two weekends ago we went to Raleigh to celebrate our friend Phoebe's first birthday. Then we went to Winston to celebrate Popi's birthday (We won't mention how old he is LOL). We had a great time at both parties. We stayed in Winston for a couple days since Brian was in California. Hailey is sitting up all on her own now, she is becoming such a big girl. She loves to crawl all around the rooms and to get into tight spaces. The first picture is of Hailey and Pheobe at the party, it is the first time they have seen each other since November. The other picture is of Hailey playing hide and seek. She loves to play, we have so much fun with her and every week so is doing or discovering something new.

Good Little Helper

Daddy decided that Hailey should help mommy with the laundry. Lucky for mom that she didn't seem to interested in unfolding all the clothes. Hailey has discovered how to get exactly what she wants when shopping. Mommy made the mistake of looking at a doll in front of her. She thought it was her doll from home that she sleeps with and immediately grabbed it. When her Mimi tried to take it away Hailey started to throw a fit. We let her carry it around the store and she ended up falling asleep with it in her arms while her Popi was carrying her, so needless to say mommy bought the doll. We had a great time with Mimi and Poppi in town and we get to see them again next weekend as well, we are very excited!

Lets Play

We attended a 1st birthday party on Saturday for our friend Tyler and had a great time. After Tyler went to take a nap Hailey turned on her charm and had a circle of people around while she showed off. Needless to say Hailey didn't take a nap the whole time we were there, so she was a little cranky the rest of the day. She has started pulling herself up on things as you can see in the picture so we are going to have to lower her crib. It is sad how fast she is growing up but it is also amazing to watch her learn new things. She makes us smile and laugh all the time. The other picture is of her playing catch, it is her favorite game.

Easter

We had a great Easter and as you can see the Easter bunny came to the beach to visit Hailey. This was just one Easter basket and gift she still had another basket and some more gifts to open later. Hailey was very spoiled with bot sets of grandparents around. She was really showing off and had to make sure she had the attention of everyone in the room, if someone wasn't watching her she would stop and stare at them until they would look at her and then she would continue. She also showed off her new skills of army crawling and playing catch. It was very chilly so Grandma and Grandpa took Hailey to the beach when they got there on Wednesday afternoon since it was still in the 80's. They got some cute pictures of her with her feet in the water but unfortunately that was the only day that was nice enough to go out on the beach. Now it is time to get back to our normal day to day activities and I am sure Hailey will be very bored with just mom around.
