Static

I love that Hailey is starting to get more hair. When I go get her up in the morning or from naps her hair is actually messed up so I have to brush it. I have to say that my favorite is when she plays in her castle and her hair starts standing up from the static and then when she gets out it all falls around her face, she looks so funny. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Are we having fun yet?

I am just going to recap our night last night. We had dinner over at Grandma Gatha's house. Everything was fine and Hailey had dinner and watched her Baby MacDonald video while we had dinner. She was good the whole way home and we sang songs. About 3 minutes after we got home Hailey started crying and wouldn't stop. We came upstairs and she went straight to her bed and wanted in. She fussed the whole time I put her pajamas on, but as soon as she got in her room she stopped and laid down and went right to sleep. This was around 7 and she usually goes down around 7:30 so I really didn't think anything was wrong.

Well then around 11 she woke up screaming and wanted some milk. We went downstairs got her some milk and then she went right back to sleep. Then at 2:30 she was up again. I got her and we rocked and sang but then she wanted to play. So at 2:30 in the morning we are reading books and playing. We had two diaper changes and one pajama change (you can guess why we had to change pajamas). After playing upstairs a while she wanted to go downstairs. So from about 4 till 4:30 we played downstairs. First we had to put shoes on, then we had to put on our little brown vest. Then she got her book that plays music and danced and then she pushed her stroller around the house. So finally at 4:30 she grabs Molly (her doll that she sleeps with, she has one both grandparents house as well) and said mama and we went back upstairs and she went back to sleep. I was hoping to have a few extra minutes of sleep in the morning but that didn't happen because she was back up a little after 7.

I just thought that some of you that have been through this before would appreciate this story. I am hoping that this is a result of cutting teeth and won't become a habit. Hope everyone had a nice night and got to a chance to glance at the lunar eclipse.

Riley Jacob Schleicher

Hailey is very excited about meeting her new cousin Riley. He was born on February 13th and weighted 7 pounds 7 ounces and was 17 1/2 inches long. So far we have only been able to see him through pictures but we will be visiting in mid March and can't wait to hold him. As you can see he is adorable and perfect. Everyone is at home now and doing well.

Fun with Friends

We left Thursday night and headed to the Sunset Beach for the weekend. Our friends Ashley, Taylor, Max and Phoebe met us there on Friday. We had a lot of fun hanging out and reminded us of old times when they lived down the street. The kids had a blast playing together and I think Hailey developed a little crush on Max. They all got sunglasses to wear that Max picked out for them and they all looked very cute. On Saturday the guys went golfing and then when they got back the girls went shopping while the guys watched the kids. They took them to the beach but it was so windy they didn't stay long. Hailey had fun chasing and screaming at the birds.
When they got back Max pushed Hailey on the swing for about 20 minutes, needless to say Hailey was in heaven. I think the their favorite thing to do was to play on the spaceship (the little couch). They got to travel to all kinds of places and eat chocolate cake (imaginary of course). All the kids got along so well and even shared a group hug. We really had a good time and can't wait to do it again.

Happy Valentines Day

Look Out! Here comes Miss Hollywood

We want to wish everyone a Happy Valentines Day! Hailey is now a big first cousin. Baby Riley was born yesterday, pictures and more info to come later. We are on our way to the beach today!! Have a great weekend.

Yucky

I guess all of our running around this week and visiting a lot of places has caught up with Hailey. She has a fever and not really feeling like herself. She just wants to be held and sits very still (not like Hailey at all). While I am enjoying her being cuddly I just wish I could take the pain away. We went to the Dr. and they said that she looked fine and that it is just a low grade fever. I am giving her some pedialite to help her stay hydrated. I can already tell this morning that she is a little more herself than she was yesterday.

Monkey Joes

We had a chance to visit Mokey Joes again for Hailey's friend Cash's birthday. She was a little clingy at first but once she got in and started jumping she was off and had a great time. She mainly stayed in the once jumper and just went up and down the slide. Every now and then she would get out and make a lap around the facility and look at all the other kids playing and then she would go back to her favorite area and slide some more. Unfortunately my camera batteries died so I wasn't able to get a lot of pictures.

Future Artist? Maybe Not.

To finish off the playroom we thought it would be fun to have Hailey finger paint and frame her art work. It all started out fine, she wasn't quite sure what to do until I got her started. After putting her finger in the paint and rubbing it on the paper she got the hang of it. She was doing really well and even asking for the other colors and mixing them together, but she would only use her finger. She finished the first paper all by herself (we had 4 to do) and by the end her hands were covered in paint. When I tried to move on to the next page and she realized she had to do more and that her hands were dirty she flipped out. So with a little help from mom we finally got all 4 pages done. I had to keep wiping her hands through out the process because she did not like the paint all over them. It turned out to be easy for me because there was no mess to clean up afterwards (lol).
The funniest part of the day was when we were all done and I was laying out the papers to dry Hailey went and got her vacuum cleaner and started vacuuming the kitchen. So I guess a career in painting is out but she might just have her own cleaning business one day. We got all the pictures framed and hung on the wall before daddy got home and surprised him with a finally finished room.

Go Giants!

We had a lot of fun watching the game last night. I was jumping up and down and on the edge of my seat cheering on the Giants. If you ask me I think they won because they had the cutest fan cheering them on all day. Hailey was going around saying "touchdown" and "go giants" all afternoon. I think we might have a future cheerleader on our hands.
