Here are just a few pictures from Easter. Hailey had a great time finding eggs and playing outside, Mackenzie just liked shaking the eggs to hear the jelly beans rattle inside them.

Exciting things

Our nephew Maddox was born March 31st at 7:04pm weighing 8lbs 12 oz and he was 21.2inches. We were able to go and visit him yesterday and got some cute pictures of him. Baby, mommy and daddy all seem to be doing great and are getting to go home today. Here are just a few pictures, the last one is of Mackenzie standing at her toy, she stood for a good couple of minutes. She is staring to pull up more everyday but I still don't think we are anywhere close to walking yet. Please keep Mark and Kat in your prayers as their due date is Tuesday.

Cutie Pies
( I just love the face Mackenzie is making in the bathtub)
These are just some pictures of the girls that we have taken recently. We are very excited that it is starting to get warmer and we can play outside some more. We got Hailey a big girl bike so that she can learn to ride, but she still doesn't want to pedal. I am hoping that by the end of summer she will be racing up and down the street but we will see. The picture of her in front of the jumper-roo is her own creation of a baby carrier. It is a tummy time mat for one of her baby dolls and she put it over her back and is holding the baby in front of her. She always continues to amaze me with her creativity and imagination. We haven't had Mackenzie in a carrier for a long time so I don't know why she thought of doing that. I love the picture of Mackenzie with the ice cream all over her face, I have a feeling she is going to have a sweet tooth like her mommy. The girls are starting to play more together and love taking baths together. Mackenzie thinks she is bigger than she really is and wants to do the things that Hailey does. She even tries to initiate fights with Hailey not realizing that she would loose. I have a feeling that whenever she does start walking we are going to have our hands full.

The Girls
Two weekends ago we went to a cousins wedding in VA. It rained the whole weekend but we still managed to have a great time. I love sitting back and watching the girls and how they interact with everyone. They really are complete opposites in everything. Mackenzie loves to work the crown and as long as someone will look at her she will turn on her charm. Hailey is more cautious and shy but once she is there for a few minutes she really opens up and lets loose. The girls did great the whole weekend and Hailey was the last one on the dance floor that night.

Gymnastics

Hailey has been taking a gymnastics class on Tuesday mornings and absolutely loves it. She is so cute in her little leotard. I haven't been able to get any pictures of her while she is in class but they are having a parent day in May so I will be able to get some then.

More Snow

So a few weeks ago we went to the beach for a long weekend. We went shopping and to the aquarium in Wilmington. Then on Saturday morning we got to do something we have never done before, we played in the snow on the beach. I don't know if Hailey was more excited about the snow or the sand, all she really wanted to do was build sand castles and snowmen. We didn't stay on the beach very long because it was cold but we did see a few crazy people surfing while we were there. All the snow melted by the afternoon but it was fun while it lasted.

Snow!

Well kind of, it was mostly sleet but a little snow was mixed in. Hailey had fun playing in it but was disappointed that there wasn't enough to build a Frosty. She tried making a snow angel but since it wasn't good snow it didn't really work. Mimi and Popi ended up getting about 12 inches so I guess next time we need to go to their house so we can play in some good snow.
